Hi
I bought a new HN6 2 weeks ago from ARB in
welshpool wa for a small trip that we were planning to take from
Perth the
Coral bay.
I must admit that I was a bit cautious in spending that sort of money on a GPS especially since I didn't tell the misses that I had bought it.
2weeks later and a few thousand km later and I can safely say that this is hands down the best GPS that I have used, very easy to use and to have all the
camping spots, fuel stations, rest stops etc for the route that I had planned at
the tip of my fingers at a moments Notice is invaluable.
There was a moment there where on the road out to the blow holes near
Carnarvon that it said I still had a 2 hour trip with 50 km to go but it soon readjusted itself to the correct time.
The sunset function I thought was a bit unnecessary but when planning a romantic sunset dinner at
exmouth lighthouse it came in handy.
We went off road to the old
whaling station and light house on
Ningaloo station using the 4w4 maps and found them very usefull especially when looking for certain landmarks and tracks, found this feature to be reasonably accurate.
A few downsides I can see with the HN6
1. The mount is very strong but hard to position
2. Would be good to have the mount and power attachment all in one
3. Would be nice to be able to lock the GPS with a code in case it is stolen
All up I would say that having the HN6 has made my life a lot easier and is deffinately worth every cent that it costs.
