Hi all, hoping someone can help me i own a 1989 Single cab toyota hilux 4x4 i mainly use it for beach work and bush. The shocks and springs on it are gone and ive being asking around trying to find out wat really is a good shock and spring and i keep getting mixed thoughts on the subject. I dont want to spend huge amounts of money. But my choices were either Monroes magums . KYB twin tubes or Cross country
And with the springs if anyone good give me the names of some good springs i appreciate it or any other thoughts on the shocks

Got OME shocks all round on our 4 Runner and am very pleased with them,cost something like $125 each.Used to have a Suzuki with OME springs on it and was happy with that ,don't know the price was to long ago.Get hold of a ARB catalouge and price list to find out OME current prices.

Got a set of Gabriel blue riders on my 99 hilux. Big bore and they look well constructed (double welded eyes etc). $100 bucks from supercheap....seem OK so far - dont use them off road too much but when I do I tow a 6x8 off-road/camping trailer with no signs of fade yet. Plenty of people will bag them as they come from supercheap, but horses for courses - I couldn't justify paying $150 per corner for something that has the same warranty and performance (up to this point) as the $100 one. My thoughts only, plenty will disagree!
