We love
Mildura & will go back back again & again. Even when we stay in a caravan
park we look to be as far from people & facilities as it's possible to get.
When doing long hauls over months we have found that
free camping 5 days & caravan
park 2 days a week worked
well for us. Now even at
free camping you get noisy neighbours but I'd guess far less often.
'Free Campers' just seem more switched-on but there are of course exceptions. I
well recall pulling into a nice spot alongside a
lagoon & not long after setting-up the neighbour started playing Slim Dusty music at a fair old volume until around 11pm. I now know all the words to 'I got to have a drink with Duncan' :(
Mostly though our experiences at free campsites has been lots of happy & noisy banter with drinks until around 8pm and then people just talk quietly or else head off to bed.
