Just a thought you may have mud caked around outside of your oxygen sensors on the exhaust.this will stop the oxygen sensors get a reference oxygen read from the outside air.So need to pressure clean around the outside of the sensor and its wiring.

It turned out to be that the fuel pump is fitted inside the fuel
tank and is wrapped in a gauze strainer. This was choc a block with red dust and varnish from Opal fuel! Thanks for your advice - we eventually broke down on the way to
Cape Leveque and called a tow truck!
