Hi Stephen, Great Blog, you have captured
Cairns and district very
well. As you said
Cairns has changed greatly over the years. I came to
Cairns 51 years ago (ran away from home as a kid) and have watched it grow to what it is today. Sheridan St and Mulgrave Rd were both just one strip of bitumen with trees lining the edges. The tallest buildings was the nurses qrts and CREB.
Keep up the great work you do for this site.
Cheers Damien

Hi Damien
Thanks for those very kind words. You are very lucky to live in such a very pretty part of Australia, with all those fantastic
places to visit right on your door step.
Fiona and I have now vowed that we will return again with the next couple of years, but next time on extended leave so we can really enjoy the area on a far longer stay.
Cheers
Stephen
