Sorry about that - I have only read (not tried) that Inmarsat makes the best handsets (although the most expensive) and this is accompanied by the cheapest prepaid and post paid plans. They have 11 satellites and these will be used in future for aircraft sms
services. The Thuraya has been OK with no issues, although we haven't had to use it much in the 3 years we've owned it. It is difficult to use and point at the satellite to maintain connection and the voice can drop out (it is an earlier model). Good luck with your selection.
