As always Mike, enjoyed the narrative and the photos. Both top draw. The photos were particularly useful and gave me an insight. Actually left me feeling like a bit of a numpty really. I've always lifted my jerries down off the roof rack. NEVER EVER thought of simply syphoning the fuel down. Derrrrrrrrrrrrr. Although going by your problems I'll probably look at some kind of filter on the syphon tube.
As a fellow Cruiser owner I must say I feel a little concerned about my investment. I am starting to hear a few stories of disatisfaction with both product and service. I bought the 200 because I believed it was the best and with the best back up. Evidently my faith may have been misplaced. Although saying that, my girl hasn't let me down yet.......touch wood!!!

Thanks Phill -first up, how's the caravan? The Cruiser has been a fine 4WD and this is the first real issue in 4 years and probably 70,000km of offroad. The design of the fuel pump in the
tank sucks but that can probably be managed. Toyota service is universally baad (except
Broome of course ) ;-) I use a Tanami pump in the Jerrys not just siphoned - it is connected to my air compressor , check out
http://www.tanamipump.com.au/. The filter on the tube is a great idea as long as it doesn't generate too much back pressure. For me I'll try a Long
Ranger tank as
well. Mike
