Maralinga and back to the Anne Beadell Highway

Back in late 2011 I received an email from a fellow EO Member asking me some information about one of the places that he would like to visit during his March 2012 Desert wanderings.

Hi Andrew

Thanks for that, greatly appreciated. The aim of this Blog and the Trek notes when they are finished is to promote Maralinga as a top must visit site.

For years now it has just about been impossible for the average person to get permits it visit to area, but now with lot lot that is happening up that way, Robin will be able to issue them direct.

One point that very few people are aware of they isif they come in from the main Eyre Highway at Colona, there would be less than 80 kilometres of dirt road to travel and it would be possible to accommodate all types of vehicles, caravan and the like.
