Maralinga and back to the Anne Beadell Highway

Back in late 2011 I received an email from a fellow EO Member asking me some information about one of the places that he would like to visit during his March 2012 Desert wanderings.

A great set of notes for members etc.. to refer to. I sure enjoyed the read and are quite envious so will need to look into such a trip. The GVD is such a diverse and special place and one we have enjoyed on our previous two trips through it. I am just back from a three month trip including Surveyors General Corner and beyond and only now realise how much you miss the forum and especially the blogs.

I now write mine up in word then copy and paste then add the photos into the new blog

Thanks for that. Yes the GVD is a very special place for sure and by the sounds of things, you must have have a fantastic time away.

I was only speaking again with Robin last week and it has now been signed off for him to handle the permits for Maralinga. Unlike other areas which can take a month or more for permit approval, Robin was telling me that his will only be around 2 days.
