Nice blog and some interesting Pics Michelle. Sorry to hear about your break in. Seems somewhat ironic that you can be in the middle of nowhere, leave all your belongings, and safely go hiking without have gear damaged or stolen. Then you get home and it happens on your own drive.......!!!! SO ANNOYING.
We've visited some of the
places you've mentioned. Might go and have a peak at the
places we haven't. Sounds like fun.
On another note, how easy is it to remove and replace the draw system in the cruiser? I was thinking of getting some myself, but in truth, everyday running of the motor will be compromised by having them in there permanently.

Phill,
David here I am the installer and remover of the system and it is not too hard to take them out. When the install that basically get bolted to the rear
seat supports in the floor - and taking them out for me is a matter some disassembly to get to the bolts and then taking them out (we also half a half height cargo barrier and custom integrated
water tank which all have to come out). I allocate half a day to get this stuff out of the car and about half to full day to plug it all back in. It all depends on how much stuff you have in the area, I mentioned the cargo barrier on ours lives the
HF radio main box and
inverters so it takes me a little extra time to disconnect wiring.
If you had just a set of drawers then maybe 1-2hours to get them in and out. It is worth having them and it is also worth taking them out when you are not travelling.
David
