Comment: Karlamilyi (Rudall River) - An apocalyptic drive to the Gary Junction (

The Tucker looks pretty good Mick we should have hung around and done a Sundowner on you lol. There was a Helicopter based at Razor blade bore dropping flares so the fires were covering a fairly wide area from Lake Auld to west of Swindall field when we went through a couple of weeks earlier and they told us they were heading for the Eagle hwy to burn there too and as we came up through there I.m glad we didnt leave it any later as the spear grass was higher than most convential 4wds and it may have got a little tropical for us.

Cheers Dave

Not as good as a lamb roast my friend. Did you run into our old mate Ray from Inland Services up that way. He has been grading the WAPET and a few other tracks in for the exploration companies. We were a week behind you on the Carnegie. Hey you could have at least dragged those bloody camels off the track for us. Picked up that you were travelling with the Ribbands from their blog site. My goodness there must have been some tall tales and true told around those fires at night ha ha.

Hope to catch you and Pauline soon mate. Happy Xmas and the best of new years to you and the family.
