Hello,
In this instance not much choice - that's where the coal is - cant move it and
mine elsewhere. Further up the road and down on the coastal plain you will also see mass destruction in another other form - cleared paddocks for livestock grazing/grain/bluegums....much more pleasant to the eye but from a biological diversity perspective just as bad (and much larger areas involved than the odd minesite).
