Comment: Four Great Days on the Yorke Peninsula

Great write up Stephen. You and Fiona sure know how to thoroughly investigate and area. Loved the story of the snake. Poor Fiona. Did you put some water out well away from the camping area? Will look forward to the Trek notes.

Cheers Mick

Hi Mick
It is a great spot down the Peninsula and it is alway great to head down that way. To be honest, the snake did not worry me, but the same cannot be said about Fiona, as she was paranoid for the rest of the time down there.

The water that we had was under the annex of the tent, so I then put the rest of the wash up water back in the car, and had the small cask water on the table, out of the front of the tent. The biggest surprise was to be told by the Rangers it was a Tiger Snake. Even when I persuaded the snake to leave our camping area with the large pole, it was never aggressive and headed back into the bushes from where it had first come from.

Cheers
