Truckster,
So the word tanks was missing after the words " duel fuel"
You don't think that they were running diesel and gas do you?

Willem,
The word "dual" was typed 5 times so far and I misspelt it once.
Does that make me like everbody else.

Wayne,

After I hit the button I wondered if Wayne was going to get angry.

I should have clarified my comment to say that a large number of people misspel the word Dual...........just an observation....it is a condition of thought....Whenever I have to fill in a form, say for a prescription, it always comes back with my name as William. When I point this out to the person involved they are startled because their brain is conditioned to see certain words and names and they just accept it as that....not that it matters in the scheme of things....

Not so fast.....

Do a Google search on "gas diesel dual engine" and you will see that there are dual fuel engines that run on LPG and Diesel in a 90/10 percent mix. They seem to be the large engines and generator power plants but the point is that it is possible!!!!!!!

To be pedantic .. they run on compressed natural gas. Buses in Brissie plus a number of small diesel vehicles from the Gas Co.

Not uncommon in this neck of the woods.

"Dual fuel diesel" - Easy!! One tank hold diesel and one tank holds BIODIESEL. I used to do it often.

Apparently if you run on LPG/Diesel, it's like having Nitrous in a car.

Huge performance improvement - Probably at the expense of the con-rods or valves.

If you are to convert a diesel to run soley on gas you have to use Natural gas ( like the busses) however not easy to do. But there are people injecting LPG into the normal diesel burn. Supposed to be tremedous I saw it a few years back at the WA 4wd Show where they had a hilux 2.8 running on the combo. Can't imagine the LPG would lubricate the high compression diesel motor too well though!! Supposed to get you heaps of extra torque and better economy. If it was really that good though I would imagine that everyone would have jumped on the band wagon by now and be copying it to try and make a quick buck.
