Mate,
good to read your post and see you put your assessment out there for all to read. As you say you have gone to progressive lens for vision. I had the exact same problem and found I was having trouble working and operating underground especially with men in a basket where their
well being is 100% on your shoulders. I bit the bullet and my had lens replaced with multi focal silicon lens. That is scary when they remove your lens and all you see is light until they fit the new ones. Results are magnificent. Not perfect but near enough. No more glasses. Doctor in Mackay does it. Not cheap but he was recommended as one of the best.
One thing I can't get my head around is radios. I never get distracted using a 2way. In fact when I was working I would have 2 going all the time while driving or operating. I find having a passenger is more distracting and I would miss radio calls quite often.
Have a safe one,
RA.
