Hi Heather, enjoying the read. Pity you experienced low water at Ballinyoo Bridge. Camped there twice and had good water flows over the causeway. Photography along the banks is also great as you found. Took the same photo you have of the morning reflections.
BTW I live just around the corner from the van park you stayed in while in Perth & yes the traffic noise from Tonkin Hwy can be a tad loud at times.

Yes, water always provides great photo opportunities and subject matter- landscape, animals and birds. There's been plenty of water in most places we have visited falling as rain unfortunately which kinds of ruins plans for travel on dirt roads!
