We love the hidey-hole in our 2004 NP Pajero GLS. It's great storage. (It's where the third row of seats tuck into if we don't need them.) However, we have taken the third row out completely. We want to put a drawer system in which means covering up the hidey-hole. Has anyone solved the problem of how to continue to use the hidey-hole for storage even though you have a drawer system installed?
All advice very gratefully received.

I used to have an NM.
I had someone make up a steel frame which housed the fridge on a slide along with 6 plastic crates (lidless, square, get em at officeworks, kmart, howards, etc).
To get to the "hidey-hole" I'd just remove the bottom crates or slide the fridge.
It needed 2 people to get in and out of the car, but it was a lot simpler to remove than drawers.
The guys at Dept of Interior had some drawers which provided access, but it didn;t quite suit what I wanted to do.

BTW, I now have a Patrol and have had drawers (offroadsystems) put in.
I'm impressed with the space utilisation and convenience, I just don't take them out.

Hello Lionel & Jan
Yes. My NP DiD Exceed has drawers custom made by Dale of Kearsley Kitchens, Kearsley NSW(Ph (049) 90 2556).They are excellent and very reasonably priced. I've had
mine for 6 months and am very pleased. Everywhere I go people are impressed by the drawers.
To access the storage hole you still need to remove a drawer but this is easier than in other brands. Dale is also prepared to hinge a lid, if you need him to, so that you only need to roll the drawer out then lift the lid then access the storage underneath. Tell Dale hello from peter.
Hope this helps
