Great story and picks, it looks like the perfect family trip (except for the problems off course!). I was wondering if you would/could tow a van there as your boat would not be a lightweight and the roads looked pretty good until the beach off course.
Kind regards

Theo,
The beach section is not too bad really it is the 50kms in from the main road that really takes its toll. There are a number of vans up there some for the long term and some the short but be very prepared for a slow and steady and very rough trip in from the turn off. Jane the station owner was telling us the stock truck would not come in to take away the goats due to the state of the roads.

As I was typing this Michelle was typing also here is what she said:
Yes indeed, many people take vans. There are various options on Ningaloo Station if you prefer not to camp on the beach however there are tracks behind even the South Lefroy beach camps allowing caravans to get in but also other camp sites like Jane Bay, North Lefroy & Point Billie are all suitable for caravans. There is also a section called "the flats" about 50m behind the beach sites at Sth Lefroy - I think its ugly, but some people love it there if they have big rigs and don't need to watch little kids (or their boat on the mooring) from their camp. Give the station a call and discuss it with them - I'm sure they can give you some ideas.

Enjoy
