Wow - what a trip!! I have been going to
Ningaloo since I was in grade 7 (1987), and now with my own kids I try to get there every couple of years - usually in the July school holidays. I have broken my boat trailer numerous times on the track, and have now re-built it with 15' LT AT tyres, Landcruiser hubs, double eye springs, Hilux shocks, and welded side bunks. I also have a swing-down spare mounted on the draw bar, with a spare hub all greased and ready to go. This works
well, especially when launching on soft beaches - just use a snatch strap for recovering the boat to save sinking the car. The trailer upgrades are easy to do, and
well worth it especially for a fully loaded trip across the
Ningaloo track every couple of years!
It is a trip you will remember for years!!
