Ah, Rose. I have to disappoint you about the dash cam - it gave up at
Broome. The last piece of film I have is of me leaving the Mercure
carpark. Imagine. Just before I went to the
Pilbara, which was the most beautiful, or perhaps I should say, unexpectedly beautiful region in WA. It isn't marketed at all p probably because they are selfish, no, I didn't mean that, probably because if people start flocking there as tourists they won't be able to dig it up and ruin it.
And, when I was bogged the camera aspect of my phone was the furthest thing from my mind. I wish I'd filmed Bill unbogging it and the trip out.
He wouldn't accept any payment so, yes, I did give them a pen each. I brought out both boxes and let them choose for themselves. While they were inspecting them a woman bought one made from Hawiian Koa for her 18 year old surfer nephew's birthday. When I get home I'll send them some refills and perhaps I'll turn a bowl for them.
On the subject of new words, I learned long ago that you don't antagonise the dentist or the hairdresser. When you're stranded, as I was, you don't antagonise the people you hope (tell her she's dreaming!) will help you. I did do a course on uploading videos to youtube but after the trip to
Borroloola, when the camera WAS running, and there was sound, I couldn't upload my navigation of the two creeks and four rivers, or however many there were, because each time I stopped in the middle of the
water my vocabulary shrunk to one word endlessly repeated - I should post it as a Rap, I might reach a whole new audience :-). Anyway, glad you got the card. The ones I posted from Hutt River haven't arrived yet. Perhaps Prince Leonard depends on the Royal Mail.
Thanks for all your comments, I both appreciate and enjoy them.
