What a great first blog! Wit and pics :)
I totally understand your interest in
the Breakaways - hence we went there twice on our recent trip. It's such a hidden gem and for some strange reason, not signposted - despite all the other sites (sic) along the
Granite &
Woodlands trail being signposted and despite it being listed as a site in their brochure. You are no doubt aware, but if not I'll mention it here - we have published a trek note for the route there (
Hyden -
Norseman Road). I should also mention, in case you're not aware, that if you record your route on your gps or EOTrackMe, then you can upload it as a User Trek and then when you write your post-trip blog, you can embed the map route into your blog, rather than having to add a graphic like the one you've done above. Your map would then be interactive allowing your viewers to see more detail when they zoom in etc.
So, I don't think you said when you are going to take this trip? Looks like a great loop. No wonder you are looking forward to it.

Hi DM & MM
Thanks for your kind words, and the helpful advice.
We are planning to head off sometime after 17th September - specialist appointments prevent an earlier departure. It could be very close to October but it WILL happen :)
I have in fact perused your wonderful trek notes numerous times, making copious handwritten notes to keep in mind, while planning our trip :)
As of 5 hours ago, I am now the proud owner of an HN6 Users Manual (the Navigator itself may OWN me if I can't get my head around the destructions! )
I think that qualifies as a GPS ...
However recording the route/uploading a user trek tutorials will have to wait til after I get 'charged up and turned on' sorted hehehe
I am on such a steep learning curve I could end up with splinters in me bum from sliding back down the slope LOL
Regards
Sharon (LG)
