Mike hope you managed to get to Mooka Springs and the trip across the top. Last year (
Easter) we did that trip & the river was about 450mm deep but only a slow flow. When we got to the top of the scarp it was 42 degrees and a thunderstorm. Fantastic!
Sand dunes one minute and flat laterite the next & breakaway country. An amazing place.
As per Geoff's comments a great read and you have a great style of writing. Your kids will have a lot to look back on as they get older.
