Hello Stephen,

Many thanks for the arm chair ride through what obviously was a fantastic trip. You certainly covered some ground and what a variety of sites and sights you guys visited and the desert looked so good.

I'm not sure about your gibber camp though - did you find that heap of dirt about 30 cms high that enabled Beadell to get a better view of the country - lol.

Thanks for sharing and all the best.

Hi Phil

I know that you would have had a great time and to think that we struck the country in its peak. There was one downside...

I gave Ben at Mobella Station a phone call from Maralinga to thank him again for giving us access through hid Station. He said that the track that we went out on...we were 2 weeks too early, as it was now covered in White Sturt Desert Pea....bugger, as we only saw the normal Red ones.

As for that gibber claypay, it was far better than it looked and to me was a great place to camp. It was all very flat to walk on, just like cement, no sand, no prickles and no dust...lol

It was a great trip even if I have to say so myself.

Cheers

Stephen
