Thanks for the interest and your comment, it is always good to post something about the outback and in this case the
Pilbara that is a genuinely good story and something that will remain as part of the states history.
Yes mate the cairn is certainly a very fitting tribute, not only to "Tom" Meharry ~ but to every surveyor who trudged the Western Australian wilderness, plotting and calculating their position on the face of the earth ~ all
well before the advent of the GPS.
