I've carried a magnetometer myself in my younger days - That was
well after Kidson :-)
Features are named in the
Gibson Desert after his crew as
well.
Nipper Pinnacle and Ryan Buttes are two that come to mind.

Yes I've had the pleasure of visiting some of those locations with your good self and the rest of the GDEC crew over the years. Obviousely Mr. Ryan was a good
cook ;-) I might do a bit of research on Messrs Clarke, Cronin, Ryan and Nipper. Hope you're planning something special for 2014.
