Importing a Boat from America to Australia Issues to Watch out for.

We sold the old boat the Kulara. We were looking for a single hull that would cut through the North Queensland Swell with less bounce than a Multi Plate Hull.

Gold plated information Tony. Given the rise of the AUD, there is a great attraction in importing so many things from the US these days so this information is invaluable. I've bought some tyres in and travel companions bought in a camper. The big advantage was that they were at the other end to ensure the US end of the deal and loading went smoothly. Thanks for taking the time to share.

Thank you Mick O - I have not been around on the site for a while and just saw this. Boat is going very good after fixing a few little issues. Now all we need is some good windless days out of Cooktown :-) Not very likely :-) Regards Tony
