Graham, the trip to Jervois from Alice can be done in a day if you are time poor but there is plenty to see & soak up if you have a little time. From Jervois to Batton Hill is only a short hop, easy 3 hours. The bush tucker tour with Mr.Bookie (ask him if he has been able to start a fire with 2 sticks yet , you will get a laugh ) is a full day in itself. The trip down the Hay River to the QAA line took us easy three & a half days with another day to Birdsville iff going that way. If going via the Warburton Crossing to the Birdsville track allow at least a day as well. If you take a detour to Lake Caroline as we wanted to allow another day & a half for an easy time. Great time with Lindsay & a wonderful trip down the Hay as well. Have fun.
Cheers
Batsy
Every day vertical above ground is a bonus.
