Thanks for your response, I was interested to note your cost of shipping. We shipped Jill's lancer over when we moved there in 2000 and the cost was $2700 ex WGTN so just goes to show some things do go down in price. Customs/AQIS same issues in fact they only inspected cars at that stage on a two weekly basis so even once it was cleaned, which was the day after arrival and original check we had to wait a fortnight for it to be released. When I tried to hurry them up I was informed that it was ok the car was secure in air conditioned storage - like the car cared!
Will be interested to follow your posts as you travel this year, we will be housesitting this year in
Yeppoon (June/July) and Hervey Bay (August/October) so looking forward to exploring that area thoroughly.

Thanks Peter...when you are at Hervey Bay make sure you go 10 mins up the coast to Toogum..we went there just about every day when we were housesitting there last trip...two cafes with very good coffee..thats all there is there tho!..The smaller cafe was being run by a kiwi when we were there as
well
