Comment: Carnegie Expedition 2013 - Day 14 Exploring Wilson Glen and the Stansm

Water off a ducks back Phil, Does a spinifex rat rest on claypan? Does an old native well not need a good dig? Can Mick squeeze sideways through a dense thicket of desert Oaks?
I swear these t'outhersiders take a swig of rum and valium every time they cross longitude 129 to match us locals natural ability to navigate without fear, tread the trails of the unknown without looking back to safety, climb those hills without the need of mechanical advantage and drink the putrid water of those hideous stagnent stale waterholes without boiling it first.
They come, they enjoy, they realise, but they have a long way to go before they will they will act, move, travel, think and ponder like the ones who are here already. :-)

Looking for adventure.
In whatever comes our way.

Don't make this a border incident boys. Alright there may have been a bit of a tanty when I couldn't find the crab cracker and just because we believe in suitable attire for dinner, we do it hard as well you know. I don't think you realise just how hard it is to get a lobster mornay to appropriate room temperature out there, and keeping the Sav Blanc chilled, well lets not go there. We know hardship.

Besides if you'd fed "the dingo" damper alone, I reckon all we'd have found your thoroughly picked clean bones scattered about your swag in the morning! It would do you well to remember he usually flosses with the sinew of his victims!
''We knew from the experience of well-known travelers that the
trip would doubtless be attended with much hardship.''
