Comment: Carnegie Expedition 2013 - Day 14 Exploring Wilson Glen and the Stansm

Haha, this damper was quite talking point folks.
For starters let me just say that it was actually Phil's damper mix, I just mixed the final product.
I was quite content to have this as my main meal for the day, quite, quite content......
However, generally speaking I was the chef for both me and my father who accompanied me and was with me when we met up as a group.
It came as quite a surprise when some members of our happy contingent expressed that this meal was not sufficient to provide for the daily needs of one in the bush.
I was quite happy to consume the damper as a main meal. I strongly feel that being where we were, it did not matter whether we consumed rats, grass or dried out pasta.
I quite frankly am happy to eat whatever it takes to ease the tension of the stomach muscles, and considering where we were, would have been happy to eat kangaroo scrotum if I had too.
I often wear the wrath of jokes because I do not take a fridge with me all in good faith of course.
In future I will be more than happy to eat a damper again as a main meal because it makes me less hungrey, To have a gormet meal in the bush is great, to be able to eat anything at all is quite better than nothing at all :-)

Looking for adventure.
In whatever comes our way.

Ideally that damper should have been called a “spotty dog” I reckon, because of the fruit in it. Here I was thinking you were a culinary genius only to find it had been pre-mixed by the master and bought along.

Mate, given your dietary requirements at the end of a hard day, I think Jaydub and I will be looking over our shoulders in future. As long as they belong to the kangaroo, I’ll be happy mind you with some of those bad boys we were seeing in the ranges, you'd have had a fight on your hands there as well!!!
