Hi LG,
We have been to
Thomas River several times, is the DPAW
campsite open yet, or still being built after the fire?
I f you get the chance a trip to Boyatup
Hill is worthwhile as
well.
Regards
Barry H

Hi Barry
I've been told the
views from the DPaW
campsite are better now than they were a few years ago, as the fires removed some of the deadwood/taller shrubs. They were certainly spectacular when we were there :)
The first picture on this page was taken from the DPaW
campsite from where the track leads down to the river mouth - near
site 2 if I remember rightly.
I spent nearly an hour on this short track, checking out all the flowers and wildlife along its length.
The
camp kitchens and
toilets are very nice modern looking units.
We stopped off at the back of the campground to use the
toilet - somewhere around
site 11 - and found ourselves quickly covered in bull ants from a nest bang smack in
the entrance to the
camp site. So, be careful where you park/pitch up there :)
Thanks for the recommendation, I will put Boyatup
Hill on the To Do list for next time :)
