Just sharing some info on cost of speed alerts. I have just bought a VDO speed alert and was a little surprised at the range in prices for exactly the same unit. The prices varied from $230 to $155 to $70. All prices were supply only and an extra $80 to fit. Repco had them for the $70. Pays to
shop around.

bloody goood idea these things....saved me a few fines i reckon.
But I have noticed how
well you become accustomed to driving and staying just below the alarm trigger set-point with out thinking about it....
It conditions ones driving speeds!

Yep I agree,Eskimo.
Except that I now find that I use the cruise control more often - it keeps the speed below the limit if set right and there is no beep to annoy the other half. This from one who swore he wouldn't use a cruise control ever.
Non core promise I suppose.
