Stroke of luck in some respects Mick that air bag breaking as it did so that you could reassemble it and refit it properly. Bet you gave the original installers a serve when you got back
home. That's a fare whack of weight you're carting with all that fuel and water, what's the on-road and off-road range on average you can get out of the 450L?

Dunc, I could never give you a straight answer as with the big V8 TD it's always up and down. 2700 is the best under optimal conditions. 2000 is more like it and 1500(or less) is not unreasonable when ploughing across country with trailer.
