Dear Ones
a trip to Broome is still at the "phantasy"stage, cos I won't be able to manage even a week away.
When I landed in Broome, just as the [tourism] wave was buliding, back in the Naughty Nineties. Malcolm Douglas [town hero on all the ïn-house video] was still alive.The town was approaching wet season, so pretty quiet [apart from a band of noisy Melbournites, who would be falling asleep at the dinner table round 2100h, thx to the time diff]. I stayed ten days, getting around with the local bus service & by then, was being treated like a local! The legacy is a life-long devotion to The Pigrams. Check em out, if they happen to be playing.
