Great read
John and Val, thanks for the report. I've been through Emu and many of the Beadel tracks and
Maralinga remains high on my to do list. I agree the only way to appreciate the desert region is to take it slowly. The "Gawlers" are facinating and a great place to linger for a few days. All up it must have been a great trip.

Maralinga is
well worth a visit and the desert out there is interesting too with so much vegetation. The weather beat us in the
Gawler Ranges, but maybe one day we might get back there for an extended look.
