Thanks for an interesting read 'Landy'. We planned to scratch the surface when passing through a few years back, but whilst visiting
Silverton, the biggest storm we have encountered in many years of travel arrived, dropping the temp considerably and dumping enough rain to make the return trip fairly hazardous- wet track & very slippery. Ended up spending the arvo back at the caravan park with the heater on in the campervan. We did enjoy poking around town the previous day though - loved the history and particularly the the 'deli' on the
mine side of town with
the rock & roll theme.

Thanks Phil & Jill...and I think we have all been caught like tha at some stage, no fun a all.
Sometimes by just poking around there is so much to see...
