Wildflower-History-Orchid Tour 2014

Still wet cold and miserable in Perth due to late winter storms, so we decided to head to the north eastern wheat belt region to check out the wildflowers, and search for some native orchids.

Thanks Barry for bringing back some great memories - have been to quite a few of the places you visited and been delighted by the flowers we found. What a pity the rain failed at a critical time again, feel sorry for the farmers. Some lovely pics too. BTW you red wildflower is Ruby Dock, pretty, but a weed unfortunately.

Thanks for the comments Val, I will tell my wife about the Ruby Dock, she insisted I take a photo of it, wait til I tell her it is a weed.
