Rear Dana44 TJ Wrangler

Hey Guys,

Just got another question to run by you guys :P, I busted open the rear diff the other week, and to my surprise I found what looks like some sort of thrust washer that seemed to be cracked in half though is still in tacked. So i put her all back together and the diff makes no noise and seems to work fine. Its Dana44 with a LSD. So I take it down to my mate, he confirms this thrust washer is busted but dosent know what it is and cant locate a replacement one from Jeep. So... I figure to myself, ok lets run this by some so called specialists. After a an hour or so I cop a call the mech saying that the diff is fine and there is nothing wrong with it all. Anyway, the TJ is nothing has ever come of it but I'm still in the lurch about what this part and why one mech would say its busted and then another would say its perfect, and I myself can clearly see that this thrust washer is broken ?

Any ideas would greatly appreciated.
