Comment: Kimberley Karavan Lithium Battery Conversion

Thanks for your comment. If you decide to go ahead with the conversion, whether from the people I used or someone else, as long as you have a BMS to provide the nrequired protection I'm sure you would be satisfied.

We have just returned from a week away with 2 fully cloudy days, 3 days of intermittent sun and only two days of good solar and no driving time for the dc-dc charger to do its thing. Running the Karavan and its fridge, plus the car fridge as a minus 10 freezer presented no problems. We did not run the generator at all for the week (national parks) and departed our last camp with 50% in the batteries.

With the old batteries we would have been looking for a generator friendly site or mains power after the frst two days of no sun.
