Hi Landy,
My wife and I did the mera peak trek in 2000. We started our trek at phalu, it took us approx 2.5 to 3 weeks trekking to reach the peak. My made it to about 6000 metres before turning back but I made it to the top. We trekked with a group of 8 friends. It was absolutely spectacular standing on mera peak with worlds highest surrounding us. A sight that can never be forgotten. Seeing everst in all its glory is something that is very difficult to explain to people. Enjoy your trip.

Hey, thanks for dropping by!
We’ll be doing something similar. Into Lukla and trek to Paiyu, Pannggom, Dzomshawa, through the Rhododendron jungle and onto Kote and Tangnag. After a couple days of rest at Tangnag we will head to our base
camp on Mera and then onto Mera La.
Very much looking forward to it, and the trip later in the year back to Himlung…
Of course, if all goes
well, and I’m hopeful it will, I will be heading back in 2016 for Cho Oyu, and who knows beyond that!
Cheers, Baz
