Comment: Copyright – I can use this photograph (Can’t I?)

While I have been pleased to be asked by forum members if they can use some of my photos (once to make into travel theme placements for their own use) I found one used by a for profit travel website with no acknowledgement so it appeared as his own and was not happy with that to say the least. Since then, I have been watermarking most photos I place on forums, and unless they spend a lot of time blanking the marks out, it does nothing to stop theft but is does prove it was my image.
