Any jack owners out there who have had their jacks lifted? Can you tell me what you got & what were your results/opinions of the ride & lift.
I've just got one & I am scratching my head as to where the lift is? The ride is good but I was hoping to get a lift.
Cheers

Had my jack lifted by the local ARB people. They supplied a report on ride high before and after lift. I think 20mm front 25mm rear or there abouts. Ride is a lot better. I understand like most things with a jack, there is limmited adjustment available. My main concern was with the weight I carry & effects on
suspension.
Good people to deal with & happy with the result.

My measurements show about 10mm to 15 mm unladen. When laden probably worst than original. Looks lower, haven't actually measured it because I never measured it laden with original springs. I have one of those static straps on the back that just touches the ground when laden. Laden with the new springs it is
well on the ground!
This setup was to help me when laden & towing, don't see how?
What shocks & type of springs did you get?

Installed Pedders coils in rear which gave 50mm lift unladen and wound up torsion bars about 30 mm in front. Rancho adjustable shocks all round.
When loaded rear is about 25mm over standard and I adjust the shocks to suit the load and ride, Very happy with result.

Yeah
mine came up about 2" at the back and 1.5" at the front, had RS5000s and lovells springs. Not sure about the laidn height but it doesn't hit the bump stops anymore so its done something.

Jackablue, had ORE in Myaree (W.A) fit King springs coils with a 40mm lift to the rear,This was mainly to compensate for larger fuel tank, drawers and equipment.
Have wound up the the front 25mm and put on overlander h/d shocks all round,I also put on 235/85/16 toyo tyres .The tyres have have added a further 25mm ground clearance which is very handy on the jackaroo.

Jacka,
Another alternative if you have variable loads is to go with Polyairs in the rear. The Jack I had did a lot of work fully loaded on them and I found them terriffic. I just wound the standard bars up at the front and the bags at the back gave the standard springs a sizeable lift (probably about 30mm) when they were pumped up.
As for shocks, the IFS is really hard on them, the back not so bad. I'd spend the dough on Bilstien for the front and put some OME's or TJM XGS on the back.

I took the Jack back about the ride height to try some other springs.
Well I got the jack back yesterday & it sits a little higher now. It now sits about 30-35mm higher & thats with both tanks full (145ltrs). The ride is still fantastic. The true
test will be when I load it up again, probably this
easter weekend.
The springs I had first were the OME 919. After questioning the ride height OME recommended the OME 929 (taller) which is for models after 2001. So far much happier.
Thanks for all your imput
