Reading the Post below about Tunnel Creek & torches reminded me of when we went there.

Got out of the car grabbed my head torch and into the tunnel we went. As we went deeper into the tunnel I found that my head torch was useless. I blamed it on dud batteries in the head torch. My wife said well mine's good and that's all that matters.

Get out of the tunnel to discover that I'd forgotten to take of my sun glasses. Dherrrrrrrrrrrr. No wonder anything looked dim.

Cheers

In the days before glasses that adjusted to light levels (which are not very good as sunnies for driving anyway, or for the very bright outback conditions) I too used to have prescription sunnies. More than once I vaguely thought it was getting dark early - and wondered why my other/better half didn't think to remind me to change glasses. Grrr!!

Cheers,

Wouldn't worry Duncan, you're not the only one! :-))

Recently got a pair of prescription sunnies made up, so I can now read the speedo/gauges when I'm driving. Also wear them most times when working in the garden, or down the shed. Will come into the house, sit at the computer and after some time, wonder why the screen is so dark, and I can't read the keyboard clearly. Turn on the light, open the curtains fully and nothing changes.......then the penny drops!!!

Good one Duncan, very humorous incident.

Did you go back in without glasses, its a great spot especially when you can see.

Hi Phil, can't remember if it was at the roof collapse point half way in or when we actually got out that I realised my dumbness. It's one place I'd like to revisit.

Cheers
