As silly as it may sound I have a mate who's last car was an 80 series Gxl with a 5.0litre efi holden. He sold it to another friend who still has it and takes it out on trips with us regularly. Cost an arm and two legs to set up back in 1996 but it is an awesome vehicle.
My mate replaced it with a Surf with a fully engineered, Gen 3, 5.7 litre chev. I have driven this vehicle and it is one beautiful peace of machinery. He is not afraid to take it off road either. It goes places even I wouldnt go. Nice to have money!!!
