For information, the following unleaded prices were noted on the weekend 14-15 March:
Ceduna $1.339 (
Shell; others were a cent or two higher)
Nundroo $1.399
Nullarbor $1.769
Border Village $1.830
Eucla $1.680
Mundrabilla $1.680
Madura $1.780
Cocklebiddy $1.870
Caiguna $1.860
Balladonia $1.850
Norseman $1.339 (Caltex, on the
Esperance Hwy; BP on the Eyre Hwy was $1.550)
The relative prices remain the same as in February, though most (except Caltex in
Norseman) have risen between 3 and 1 cents.

Bruce, thanks for posting those prices. It must be the first time for a long time, that Nullarbor has been among the cheapest. It's usually the dearest.
Mundrabilla has always been the cheapest fuel across the Long Paddock, and Eucla has always been much cheaper than Border Village.
I've never understood why Balladonia has been so dear compared to
Norseman, seeing as it's only 200 kms East. Just because they can, I guess.
Cheers, Ron.

Penong didnt get a mention here , traditionally was wee bit cheaper than
Ceduna but last time i went through was the same price as
Shell Ceduna but with
Shell there was the 4c a litre with the discount docket which made it the cheapest . And sorry i have just noticed these were unleaded prices , mine was diesel !

Thanks for the posting - and the extras that came through earlier replies.
I am newish to all this travel stuff. Does the site rely on ad hoc postings (very informative ad hoc postings) such as that made by Bruce M or have I missed an accessable 'traveller updated' database? If the latter what is the link?
I haven't scoured through all of the posts but ask whether, in the absence of updates from trusted travellers, to a database whether there is similar, current, information on other routes.
Setting off after
Easter from Syd, turn right at Melb, turn right again at Esperence then inland and coastal to
Broome. Guess that I turn right again, and again and again to get
home.
How can I best contribute to to the fuel price discussion?
