G'day all.
I will be in outback South Australia in late April and am looking for a town who has a Dawn Service on ANZAC Day. I was thinking maybe Woomera would be good to attend. Any suggestions from people in the know?

Hey there,

Not sure if Woomera has a service ??
Not on the RSL list of services, this link takes you to a Word doc >>>Anzac Day 2015 - SA services

We were in Birdsville for last years service, was a very good service and a decent turn out.
Quite a few locals there from the various forces.

Conduct your own. We've been spending Anzac Day in remote bush locations with 6 or 8 other families for years now, and we hoist a flag from the bough of a tree and conduct our own little service that everyone contributes to. It's now got to the stage that the Anzac camping trip is sacrosanct and no other engagements will be entertained over that weekend.

Very patriotic! ;) Anyone in the Thargomindah area on Anzac Day - they are having a very big celebration for it. More info can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Bulloo-Shire-Council/804335509653531?fref=pb&hc_location=profile_browser Cheers Toni

There was a mention in the Westprint newsletter of a service being held at Farina, should be a good one amongst the ruins.
