RG Colorado 2inch Lift

Hi All,

Looking for some advice/opinion please.

Booked in next week to get a 2inch lift on my Colorado. Can anyone who has added a lift to their RG please tell me how long/kms they have had it on for and if they have had any probs, including with drive line, vibrations, etc.

2 Inch lift is pretty well standard for most 4wds. You shouldn't have any issues. Some 4wds did require a wheel alignment after just to ensure camber was set correctly. If its a named suspension setup and the installer does his job right you should be fine.

I put the 2" tough dog on my collie 2 years ago and its been pretty good.

About 6 months ago a leak developed at the back of the box, Holden degreased it last service just to confirm when I go back in a week or so.

The lift may have upset the angle and flogged out the seal, not sure yet.

I also noticed a bit of vibe or something when I was 4 wheeling on some tracks 18 months ago, it was from the front somewhere, I cant exactly recall it because it was so long ago, in saying that I cant remember it when i was on the beach 6 months ago.

So it is possible there could be some minor issues but cant be 100% certain.

Cheers Wayne

Thanks for that Nutta.
Got a 2inch Ironman lift fitted yesterday, looks good, rides good, handles great. Hav'nt had it off road yet but going to Fraser in two weeks so will get a bit more of an idea then.

How many K's on your Collie??

Thanks

Dave
