Hi all,

Has anyone been to this Caravan Park in the last 12 months or so? If yes, could you share your thoughts of the place please? I stayed there overnight 12 years ago and it was a pleasant experience, but things change, so just curious as to whether I should renew acquaintance with the Park when we visit Katherine later in the year.

Thanks,

Lockie

Hi Lockie, if this place is closed the Big 4 in Katherine is fantastic. We have stayed there a few times on our way up to the Kimberley or Darwin etc. They have a great big pool and a nice outdoor bistro if you want the night off from cooking.

I agree, the Kathering Big 4 is fantastic and our favourite park in Australia. However, if you are after a more economical park I can recommend the Manbulloo Homestead Caravan park on the western outskirts of Katherine. Lovely grassy shaded spots for most sites and old but immaculate amenities that they hope to upgrade (perhaps by now). Very friendly and relaxing on a working station. Sealed road in from the highway.http://manbulloohomesteadcaravanpark.com.au

Shady Lane on the way to the gorge is also a nice park and has some big sites along the edge. We enjoyed it.
