Have a 7 seater gq and am about to buy an 600w inverter that l'll wire in to Aux battery.
Where would be a good location in the vehicle to place the inverter (ie from a safety & inverter longevity perspective).
Will be used partly for laptop small tv and battery charger for kids toys (actually I'll probably charge more battery toys then use it for anything else). Other main reason is for power tools (drill and grinder).
Regards
Andrew

Andrew, depends how inventive you are and where the spaces are. In my GU I have the inverter inside the back of the central armrest held in place with strong cable ties.
I had thought about putting it in a central overhead compartment out of the way of
water but then you have the power leads to get there and unsightly leads away. You don't have any airbags either presumably so in the back of the glovebox area may be another option.
Don't forget the room to pack your vice, safety gear and workbench too ;)

Yeah John, the vice, safety gear, workbench, welder, are in the trailer. You know you have to be ready for any situation. LOH
Glovebox, armrest good ideas
Thanks, Andrew

Just be aware of the need to have good ventilation for heat dissipation

I put
mine on the cargo barrier but I don't think you have one if it's still a 7 seater. What about one the side panel in the rear.
