Hi All
My company is busy drilling water bores out on the Gunbarrel to maintain the road. We may see you out there! At the moment the road for the first 150km past Carnegie is good although there has been some flooding at Wongawol which has now subsided.
I did the section from there to Wiluna yesterday in two wheel drive so not to technical.

I see this very much as a 'good news' story. Thanks for the info.

Are the bores to be capped or set up with hand pumps/solar pumps while you are on the job?

Can you please tell us if the bores have potable water? - and where they are exactly - if access is available for travellers.

The bores aren't for potable water and won't be tested for potability as they are drilled for road construction. They also won't be equipped just capped. No good news there (yet), however watch this space and I will update as we go along.
